Florida Animal Project

Hello 4th Graders!  You are about to embark on an exciting project that will help you discover more about one of Florida's native animals.  Below, you will find information that will help you along the way with your research.  Have fun and happy researching!

Big Idea Question/Essential Question:
How do the seasonal changes in Florida plants and animals compare to other places in the United States?

Task:
1.  Choose an animal native to Florida.  Click here to visit a webpage that lists animals native to Florida.

2.  Research facts and information on the animal you chose. Fill out the project outline, which will help you gather information for your final presentation.   Click here to visit the kid friendly search engine, "Kid Rex."  You may also use books from the media center, an encyclopedia, or any book that I have in the classroom. 

3.  Create a presentation.  This can be a power point presentation, poster board, diorama, brochure, etc.  You will share this presentation with the class on Thursday, June 5.  You will have time to research and work on your presentation at school but will also need to work on your presentation at home.
